This is looking down the Fire Clay Mine.
We got to dress up as characters from the book The Mines Afire. This book is about the mine explosion that happened there a long time ago. Levi was Dr Morris. I was a Miner.
My favourite part was at the actual mine site and learning all of the history. I didn't really like going to the cemetery though because it was too sad.
Hi Kahlo, I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Bruner Mine Site. It was great to see you getting involved in all of the activities. I like how you have shared your favourite part. I agree that it was very sad visiting the cemetery after learning about the Mine disaster and how it affected the entire community. Perhaps next time you could add one fact you learnt from this experience.
